Biography

John M. DiDonato, is a senior trial lawyer at the firm of Brookman, Rosenberg, Brown & Sandler.  Mr. DiDonato is one of the major reasons why the firm is recognized as one of the leading plaintiff litigation firms in the greater Philadelphia region.  He is widely regarded as among the most skillful and successful trial attorneys in handling major personal injury cases involving mesothelioma, products liability, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability.  Mr. DiDonato is consistently rated by his peers as at the top of his profession. In 2004 and in every year since 2006 he has been selected as a Super Lawyer in balloting submitted by more than 35,000 lawyers in a survey conducted by Super Lawyers and published in Philadelphia Magazine.  Mr. DiDonato’s rating as a Super Lawyer means that he was selected by his peers as being among the top five percent of practicing attorneys in Pennsylvania.  Mr. DiDonato is a 1972 graduate of Villanova University and a 1975 graduate of Temple Law School.  He worked in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office from 1975 until 1985, where he earned a reputation as one of the top homicide prosecutors in the city. In 1985, Mr. DiDonato joined the firm of Cozen and O’Connor where he specialized in insurance litigation.  His practice enabled him to participate in catastrophic loss litigation in a number of jurisdictions including state and federal courts in Texas, California, Minnesota, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  John joined the of Brookman, Rosenberg, Brown & Sandler in 1986 where he specializes in litigation of major personal injury cases. Over the past 25 years, Mr. DiDonato has investigated, instituted and litigated thousands of cases involving death and serious personal injury.  During that time span, John obtained substantial damage verdicts in more than 100 jury trials while favorably resolving cases that did not proceed to verdict.  In his last two mesothelioma trials, the most recent of which occurred in the spring of 2010, Mr. DiDonato obtained verdicts of $17,500,000 and $13,000,000.  Mr. DiDonato was part of a team of attorneys that recovered more than $75,000,000. for numerous clients involved in the fatal collapse of the Tropicana casino garage.  Mr. DiDonato is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey.  Mr. DiDonato is regarded as a fierce advocate for the rights of working men and women.  He is committed to making certain that clients killed or seriously injured are properly compensated for their loss.
